Blowdry Like a Pro: Extension Edition

Now that you have extensions, your blow dry might take a bit longer! But to move things along, get as much moisture out of your extensions using a towel. Then blowdry your hair 80% of the way before you even pick up the round brush. Be sure to point the blow-dryer down, towards your ends to avoid tangling.

PRO TIP: Just keep the blowdrying moving, almost shaking air back and forth, to avoid burning your scalp or damaging bonds!

After your hair is 80% dry, style the extensions with your round brush.

Sew-in wearers— let your hair cool off and double check the seams! The heat can be deceiving and it’s important that there’s no moisture trapped between your wefts.

If needed, hit the seams of the wefts with the blow dryer one more time to avoid chaffing on the scalp.

Sleeping

Always brush your hair before you go to sleep. Put it in a low braid or loose ponytail with a scrunchy. If you want to go the extra mile, investing in a silk or satin pillowcase will minimize friction while you sleep, further protecting your hair from damage.
